Representing Education Queensland

Part of the Web Content Master's consulting role is to represent Education Queensland in web projects at a state and national level.

Access Queensland

The Access Queensland project deals with the provision of government service through multiple channels. The gateway project is concerned with service delivery via the web achieved through transparent government structure and seamless integration of cross-agency services.

Particular goals for this project are: positive user experience through consistent design and usability principles, content management for aggregation of content and a customer focus in information delivery.

In 2001–2002, I participated in the Access Queensland gateway project working groups representing EQ needs and providing technical knowledge on the subjects of web development and standards; as well as general issues of information architecture, usability and implementation.

SOCCI

The Schools Online Curriculum Content Initiative [SOCCI] (now known as the Le@rning Federation) is a federally funded project to explore the development and management of learning objects; which may be shared between states for us within the school curriculum.

My involvement in 2001 was to advise on technical implications relating to web standards and the EQ web environment.
